Our photography program supports campers in developing their unique eye through mastery of technique as well as experimentation with artistic concept and narrative.  CAA photographers will work with a variety of equipment to build literacy in photographic fundamentals such as depth of field, working with natural and artificial light and framing.  As campers grow in these skills, they will advance to conceptualize their own projects and explore the intersections of form and concept to convey meaning, emotion and story through their work.  Campers will also be exposed to a canon of inspirational photographers and learn to explore photographic content with a critical media literacy. Regular peer critique is integrated and helps each participant grow from project to project.
