We love Saturday at camp. Shabbat, a chance to rest and reflect, and our favorite Saturday activities: Shabbat Sha-lectives!

Enter our first social media Sha-lective, “Give It A Shot!” While we have the opportunity to share and upload during the summer, we still have 10 months out of the year to spread the love for CAA. Our Sha-lective was a fun, creative way to involve our campers in the photography and social media process.

We asked the campers to bring props, cameras, and anything they wanted to use in the photo shoots. Between our two Sha-lectives, we had props like washi tape, Museum of Ice Cream playing cards, sunglasses, and ukuleles. In addition, we provided multiple colors of paper, markers, and the beautiful backdrops of The Westtown School.

As the Media Specialist, I split my time between capturing the personal growth of our campers and curating our online presence, along with my media counselor and photographer, Shalva. From opening day to showcase, we are always behind-the-scenes, supporting our staff, faculty, and campers in the creative process through content creation.

We love sharing the excitement of camp with you through CampInTouch, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Thanks for the opportunity to share our creativity, curiosity, grit, and craftsmanship with you!
